Born into a family of knights, he joined the Teutonic Order at the age of 14. In the face of a changing world, the declining Order itself was divided. Andreas, unable to accept the secularization of the Order or to go against his long-held beliefs, so he parted ways with the others and pursued chivalry in his own way.
