Sailing Era Almanac

Data sources & thanks

The Almanac is a free, fan-made reference — and it only exists because of the players and communities who gathered and shared this data first. Huge thanks to everyone below. All content belongs to its respective authors; this app just organizes it and points back to the originals.

  • Sailing Era Wiki and its contributors — The backbone of this app — ports, items, ships, trade goods, libraries and much of the reference data throughout, plus every character sheet in all four languages. It lists characters under two roles, and the twenty Bar Girls are where the barmaid section's names, biographies, gifts and rewards come from. Most Port and Item pages here link straight back to it.
  • GamerSky handbooks (游民星空) — The trade-price grid that powers the Trading feature, plus Auto-Sail navigation chart data.
  • 风帆纪元 community reference sheet (腾讯文档) — A remarkably thorough community-maintained Tencent Docs smartsheet cataloguing the game in Simplified Chinese. It underpins the rebuilt Exploration catalog (371 discoveries with coordinates, categories and requirements), the Shipbuilding ship stats, build materials, build times, traits and blueprint sources, and the in-game character names — with ports, items and trade goods cross-checked against it. Our heartfelt thanks to its authors.
  • “Guild Trading” guide by Jathby Dredas — The mechanics behind Trading's “How it works” explainer — how a sale price is built from the culture baseline, the monthly price index and the sold-here discount; the cultural economic zones; and trade-guild routing. Retold in our own words with the author's kind permission.
  • “Discoveries in Ports and Landing Sites” by daniel_buglea — The original discovery / exploration catalog behind the Exploration tab (a Steam community guide).
  • “Expedition Guide” by CluelessWonder8 — The star ratings, site difficulty, rewards, clues, and the per-site expedition maps that enrich the Exploration catalog — each map a whole site's hex grid with fog cleared and its discovery markers in place, pieced together from his own playthrough. Reproduced here with his kind permission. He notes two gaps the guide never covered: the Yun Mu tutorial event, and the Northeastern Baltic Sea event after recruiting Gladio.
  • “Character Locations and Information” by Jiggles — Where every recruitable character is found and what it takes to get them — organised by region, with each one's specialties, languages and exclusive equipment. It is the only source we have that covers the branching recruitment questlines, including how Aji and Nasser differ under each of the five protagonists, and the order Belegut's four stages must run in to avoid a softlock.
  • “Barmaid Ports” by Coal Lobster — The barmaid roster — nineteen names and the port each one keeps — which is what sent us looking, and every port matched our catalog without renaming. The wiki has since supplied a twentieth (Reykjavik's, Fiona-exclusive) along with biographies and gift tables, but this guide is why we knew to look for any of them. Its comment thread also named the two barmaids whose questlines unlock a crew member, which a second guide independently confirms.
  • GameFAQs esp. contributor Hentaicheg — Reference data cross-checked into the database.
  • gameplay.tips — Reference data.
  • Steam community guides — Auto-Sail navigation chart references.
  • te5.com (游侠网) — Navigation chart references.
  • downkr.com — Navigation chart references.
  • mejoress.com — Map / navigation guides.
